FUEL SAVER CLUTCH KIT
This clutch kit is engineered for maximum fuel mileage. Low to mid speed rpm is greatly reduced. It takes minimal throttle to maintain cruising speed compared to stock clutching. Cab noise is also greatly reduced due to the low rpm nature of this clutch kit. We saw just over a 40% increase in fuel mileage on our General 1000 during testing! Trail riding and crusings characteristics are very mellow mannered compared to stock. This clutch kit is amazing for rock crawling, hunting, crusings around, ice fishing, ranch work, trail riding, road riding, plowing snow, running tracks and more! This clutch kit is NOT for performance oriented riders. This kit reduces acceleration and performance due to the engine running at the lower rpm. Once the clutches are fully shifted out at max travel the engine rpm will start to rise so you can still achieve top speed if desired. The clutch weights are made out of high carbon blended steel with our extremely hard black diamond coating so corrosion is non-existent. Longevity of these weights is second to none! The weights have replaceable multi layer friction free bushings that last for thousands of miles without maintenance. The spring is made out of the super high quality spring steel with a powder coated finish. Everything is designed and produced in the USA!
Fits the factory clutch and the Gilomen HD primary clutch.
Can be used on all polaris prostar twin cylinder models that have the P90 primary clutch from the factory 900-1000 cc. Does not fit the new body style Ranger 1000 models 2018+.
